Top 10 Worst Movies of 2015

10  Minions

Those peripatetic, google-eyed miscreants were one of the best things about the Despicable Mepictures. In Minions, they’re more like annoying toddlers desperate for our attention. Calgon, take me away.

9  Burnt
In the beginning, Burnt seemed like a recipe for success: Bradley Cooper simmers as a reformed bad boy chef amid sumptuous shots of food, sharp London scenery and appealing supporting players like Alicia Vikander and Emma Thompson. But the film, which reportedly underwent cuts and cast changes, has so many ingredients that it ends up feeling undercooked: It’s a high-stakes culinary competition, a character study of a tortured genius, a journey through addiction, a workplace dramedy and a love story—all of which fail to raise the stakes for what’s ultimately a tale of redemption. You’ve probably felt more invested in a midseason episode of MasterChef
Junior.

6 Management Styles

According to Hay-McBer there are six key leadership or management styles.

DIRECTIVE

The DIRECTIVE (Coercive) style has the primary objective of immediate compliance from employees:
  • The “do it the way I tell you” manager
  • Closely controls employees
  • Motivates by threats and discipline
Effective when:
  • There is a crisis
  • When deviations are risky
Not effective when:
  • Employees are underdeveloped – little learning happens with this style
  • Employees are highly skilled – they become frustrated and resentful at the micromanaging.

The year 2014 was a good year for many women around the world – according to Forbes, they have broken their own record from last year, rising to the number of 172 women on the Forbes list of World Billionaires. They are still taking up only 10% of the list, but in comparison with last year’s 138, we can see a great progress.

They are women from America, Germany, France, Switzerland, etc, and they all have one thing in common: money, and lots of it. Whether it is inherited (which is the case for most of them) or they made it on their own, one thing is certain – they are very good at keeping and even amassing their fortunes, along with being good mothers and wives.

These are the world’s 15 richest women in the last year, according to the Forbs’ list of World Billionaires :

1. Christy Walton

Ranking 6th on the overall billionaires list, we can say that Mrs. Walton knows her way with money. She inherited most of her wealth from her late husband John Walton, who died in a plane crash in 2005. His father, John Walton, was the founder of one of the world’s biggest retailers, Wal-Mart. With an amazing $42.1 billion, Christy shows she was not only able to pick a good family to marry into, but also to keep up the business when she was left a widow. Another source of Christy’s net worth is her 27% stake in the First Solar Company, which is worth around $1.8 Billion, making her the richest of the Waltons.

She is ranked as the highest female philanthropist according to the amount of money she gives as a percentage of her wealth. Between 2002 and 2006, when her estimated wealth was $16.3 billion, she gave a total of $3.5 billion to charity. She is well known for taking part in many non-profit organizations.

Apart from making and keeping her money, 60-year-old Mrs. Walton keeps a very private life in Jackson, Wyoming.

Top 10 qualities to build a successful work team.

Work teams are incredibly important in today's small businesses. Certain qualities are necessary to have a high-performing group of employees dedicated to planning, working in tandem and completing the tasks necessary to move the company forward. These qualities lead to each member planning, thinking, problem solving, resolving issues and dedicating themselves fully.

Accurate Perception

A quality team of professionals must have the ability to accurately perceive what is happening. The group needs to be able to identify issues, assess what is working and what is not and be truthful enough to state when mistakes are made. Clear heads and reasonableness are mandatory in this situation.

Conflict Resolution Abilities

Within any organization, there are instances of conflict. A successful work team must possess conflict resolution skills to deal appropriately when disputes occur. Bring in a professional trainer in these skills to teach you and your staff methods that are effective.

Diverse Group

Diversity in a work team makes it especially strong. A group with individuals who differ from one another brings more creativity and suggestions to the table than one composed of similar people. Invest in a team with members of differing ethnicities, ages, genders and cultures for success in business.

Innovative Thinking

Another trait of an accomplished work team is innovative thinking. Members should be adept at brainstorming ideas and willing to transform old beliefs and routine processes. Creative thinking involves risk, so you and your employees must demonstrate courage to thrive.

Sense of Responsibility

A good team is composed of members with a sense of responsibility to the team and your business. According to Business Advantage International, a business is successful when team members understand and live up to their responsibilities to the entire group. Business managers should strive to hire employees interested in sharing work responsibilities with others.

Strong Work Ethic

A work team that persists through rough patches to get the job done is the type of group you want to work with. A strong work ethic demonstrated by each individual ensures projects are done well and on time. Choose your employees wisely with respect to how willing they give their all to their job.

Spirit of Appreciation

Showing appreciation for the efforts of co-workers is a quality necessary to the functioning of a successful team. Encourage your employees to express their thankfulness to their fellow team members on a consistent basis. Lead the way as manager, giving both verbal and tangible rewards to a hardworking team.

Specific Roles

A team must clearly define the roles of each member, according to Don Hofstrand, an expert in agribusiness management at Iowa State University. A successful manager is able to match certain tasks to the abilities and talents of particular people. The definition of roles allows team members to understand the functioning of the parts as well as the whole.
